Wholesale Distributors Increase Office Productivity and Reduce Operating Expenses with Hosted Document Management Software and Services from WorldView Ltd.
Paper-intensive, back-office processes associated with wholesale distribution industry are perfect fit for WorldView’s hosted document management services.
Omaha, Neb. – November 29, 2005 – WorldView Ltd., a document management software and service provider, has recently partnered with four building material distributors looking to improve the efficiency of their back-office processes while reducing unnecessary operating expenses.
“Even though there are similarities to the problems facing each of our new clients, their internal processes, document formats, index requirements, and storage requirements are unique,” says WorldView Ltd. IT development manager, Jeremy Porter. Porter added, “During the Pre-Partner Analysis and Integration Analysis (steps in the WorldView installation procedure – Integration-PLUS) we work with our clients to learn how they currently process information and then develop a custom solution that fits into each of their existing business models.”
Partnering with WorldView Ltd. this November are:
Reserve Supply of Central New York, a wholesale building materials co-op located in Syracuse, New York. Reserve Supply will be using the WorldView solution to store invoices, delivery tickets, purchase orders and proof of delivery receipts. Using COLDView, ImageView and Exception Reports modules, Reserve Supply will be able to securely store, retrieve and cross reference their business documents electronically from any PC with a browser and Internet connection.
Warren Lumber and Millwork of Phillipsburg, New Jersey, is a supplier of doors, windows, lumber and other building materials. Warren Lumber and Millwork’s decision to migrate to the WorldView document management solution was based on their need to automate the storage and retrieval processes of their accounts receivable invoices, delivery tickets and statements, as well as, accounts payable documentation and reports. They will take advantage of the WorldView solution by reducing their manual labor hours and shipping costs as they automatically link their signed proof of delivery receipts with the corresponding statements and then email and/or fax the proof of delivery statements directly to their customers. With five locations throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania, Warren Lumber and Millwork will also reduce shipping costs internally as they are able to share their corporate content, at any of their locations, via a web browser with Internet connection. They will initially be using the COLDView, ImageView and Exception Reports modules and plan to implement Workflow and E-Forms in phase two of their document management migration plan.
Triangle Building Products, of Medford, New York, a supplier of trusses and panels, lumber, doors, millwork, cabinets, windows, and other services will also be electronically capturing their back office documents via WorldView’s document management services. They will integrate COLDView with their ERP system and use ImageView to electronically capture their hard copy documents. The Exception Reports module will allow them to instantly see when they have missing documentation or errors within their distribution processes.
Dougherty-Hanna Resources Co., of Cleveland, Ohio, a wholesale distributor of Formica® brand plastic laminate, hardwood plywood, particle board, lumber and solid surfacing products uses many paper forms in their accounts payable and receivable processes. By using WorldView’s Document Management Services to electronically store their invoices and delivery tickets they will work more efficiently and reduce operating expenses.
“The need to securely store, manage and retrieve accounts receivable invoices and signed proof of delivery documents and statement documentation is a common trend that we see within the wholesale distribution industry,” says WorldView Ltd. president, Tom Hassenstab. “Our hosted document management model provides off-site storage, backup and contingency planning assistance while relieving the IT burden commonly associated with implementing an enterprise solution.”
